Community Description: | A community for sharing cute animal pictures. Because who doesn't love cute animal pictures? |
A community for sharing cute animal pictures. Pictures of your pets, adorable news stories, the thing that made you squee like a freak over at cuteoverload - as long as it is a cute picture of an animal, it's on topic. Because who doesn't enjoy a kitten break, a bunny break, or something along that line?
Note that cuteness is in the eye of the beholder, and some users may find creatures such as their pet tarantula or the teeny tiny grass snake they found in their yard absolutely adorable. They are not automatically wrong, even if you disagree. If you do, feel free to skip on to the next entry and find something that you do think is cute.
Posting one picture openly is fine - if you have multiple pictures, especially large ones, please post them behind a cut tag.
If you are posting a picture that you did not take, or which is not of your pets, make sure you have permission to post it, or that the image is in the public domain. (Linking to the source is a good idea, too.) Likewise, don't steal other people's bandwidth by posting the picture directly without permission. If there is a complaint about pictures/bandwidth being used without permission, the post is subject to deletion, and repeated offenses may result in removal from the community.
Despite the above guidelines, the most important rule: Keep it positive, please - this is a community that should provide a quick smile for those watching it, not drama.
